Master potters from across the Southeast and Eastern United States join together for this juried festival in downtown Dillsboro, N.C. This one-day event allows clay artists to share their knowledge through hands-on demonstrations, including: raku-firing, throwing, wood-firing and horsehair firing.

Approximately 40 potters set up booths in this walkabout mountain village, which includes: shops, galleries, restaurants, inns and a railroad depot. An annual highlight is the midday opening of a wood-fired kiln. Admission is $3 per person and all spectrums of clay techniques are showcased.
